Paul McGill was born in Aglona, Latvia and came to Canada in 1948. He has graduated from the University of Waterloo (St. Jerome’s College) in Honours History and earned a M.Div. from the University of St. Michael’s College, Toronto, Ontario. In 1975 Paul McGill was ordained to the Priesthood for the Basilian Fathers in Owen Sound, Ontario.
Fr. Paul has taught and ministered in various educational institutions such as St. Mary’s College in Sault Ste. Marie, University of Calgary, University of Western Ontario and Brescia College. Furthermore, he was previously Chaplain at Assumption University and Ecumenical Campus Minister at the University of Windsor from 1985-92.
Fr. Paul is excited to be back as Chaplain and is eager to meet all new and returning students, faculty, administrators and staff. He welcomes students to check out Campus Ministry’s diverse programming, attend Mass, or have a chat over coffee in our amazing lounge.
Andrea is from Hamilton, Ontario. She is a graduate of the University of Windsor. She holds a B Ed in Primary Education and a BA Honours in Drama in Education and Community. Andrea has also participated in Campus Ministry training through the Frank J. Lewis Institute at DeSales University.
Andrea’s studies and work have always centered on creating engaging educational experiences for students of all ages. She feels very grateful to have spent the past two years working for Campus Ministry.
This year, Andrea will be away on maternity leave spending time with her greatest blessing yet.
Thomas is from Windsor, Ontario. He is a graduate of the University of Windsor. He holds a B Ed in Dramatic Art and Religious Education as well as a BA Honours in Drama in Education and Community. Thomas has also participated in Campus Ministry training through the Frank J. Lewis Institute at DeSales University.
Thomas believes one’s faith to be an integral part of their life because it speaks the language of the heart, as well as an expression of hope. It is his mission to challenge/encourage students to continue to live their faith after they leave University, whether it is through their family, work, Parish, or community.
This will be Thomas’ second year with the Campus Ministry team as the Faith Formation Coordinator. He hopes to continue the amazing work and experiences Campus Ministry has to offer.
Chrisandra is from Windsor, Ontario. She is a graduate of the University of Windsor. She holds a B Ed in Junior Intermediate Education and a BA Honours in Drama. Chrisandra has also experienced faith formation and ministry with NET Ministries of Canada.
Chrisandra believes that faith-filled people will radiate joy in all aspects of their lives. She hopes that by exemplifying this and encouraging students to live a life of hope and joy, others may be drawn to know more about God’s mercy, love, and Truth.
This will be Chrisandra’s first year serving as program coordinator with Campus Ministry. She looks forward to being welcomed into this growing community and the blessings the year has to bring.
