“Laudato Si: a unique encyclical which challenges the indifference of much of the world to environmental degradation; today’s most important human crisis! – Rev. Paul McGill, CSB.”

Laudato Si is the only Encyclical with a vernacular title (Italian) rather than Latin.  While most Papal Documents are addressed to the Bishops of the Church or the Lay Faithful, Pope Francis addresses this message to ALL people.  The title comes from St. Francis of Assisi’s famous hymn. “The Canticle of Creatures” and its goal is to enter into constructive dialogue with ALL people about preserving and protecting our common home.
