Revised February 1, 2021
The Learn for Life program was founded in 2016 in order to provide educational opportunities to diverse audiences while promoting Assumption University’s mission. The program offers courses on a range of subjects from religion and theology to history and politics to health and ethics. The courses are designed for those interested in learning for the sake of learning.
The Learn for Life courses are typically offered between September and June annually. The courses may be offered in one day session or over the course of a few weeks.
The courses are taught by qualified instructors with graduate-level credentials.
In order for a class to proceed, it is required that a minimum of six students enroll.
At the end of each course, students will be presented with a certificate of completion signed by instructor, principal of Assumption University and/or senior administrator.
Given that Learn for Life courses are not for credit, auditing is not possible.
Students must register for Learn for Life courses at least one week prior to the start date of each course. Early registration is welcome and encouraged.
Payment in full must be received by Assumption University one week prior to the start of each course. Please note that payment will not be accepted on the first day of class.
Refunds can only be requested before the course has begun. After the course has begun, no refunds will be issued. For all refunds, a $20.00 administrative fee will be charged.
