“Religion and Politics – Dr. John Cappucci”

In polite society, one is expected to avoid discussing religion and politics. In the modern world, these two subjects often collide leading to intense debate and conflict.  This course explores how contemporary religious life intersects with the political sphere. In the course, learners will examine the separation of church and state, limits of toleration, and religion’s influence on political decisions and actors. This is an introductory course and no prior knowledge of the topic is required. There are no textbooks required for the course. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the instructor and principal.
